Happy Birthday Dad!
The man who taught me how to tie my shoelaces, who made my Easter bonnet and fairy wings for school without batting an eyelid.
The man who took me on day trips when Mum was sleeping after a night shift, took me fishing for the only and only time I’ve been and pushed me on my sledge so I could toboggan down the steepest hill in town.
The man who made me go to college even though I had no idea what I wanted to do – and thank god he did, the man with whom I fought and rebelled against but also the man who I have always known that I can go to with any problem and know he will help me in any way he can.
The man who instilled a strong work ethic, who cooks the best fish pie you’ve ever tasted and started my love of technology.
The man who I spent my 24th birthday with in New York, who loves jazz and has an immense fondness of The Big Bang Theory.
A brilliant Dad and a fabulous Grandpa, who is adored by Miss P.
Happy Birthday Daddo, you really are the best.
Love you always xx
