A weekend of celebration

My Mum’s birthday on Friday.

Father’s Day today.

Lots of fun, lots of love and an excuse for lots of cake.

Miss P and Rich have a relationship that is completely different from mine and hers. Theirs is based on a shared love of playing, exploring and biscuits.

They’re friends as well as father and daughter and adore each other.

When they’re together they have a habit of doing things they shouldn’t and then trying to hide the evidence, forgetting that Mum’s have a sixth sense for misbehaviour. When caught, they both flash a cheeky grin and know they are forgiven despite my continued attempts at looking cross.

So, a weekend devoted to all things good, cake and family love.

Oh, and the small fact that I seem to have found the Holy Grail and start a new job tomorrow! A couple of hours a day, at home, so nothing changes for Miss P but will make all the difference to us.

About Sian Reynolds

I'm Sian, mother to a three year old who thinks she’s a teenager and a husband who has issues with cows. Both have insatiable appetites and are rather fond of cake. And chocolate. And cheese. Freelance this and that, coffee drinker, food blogger. I seem to spend most of my time in the kitchen, with one eye on the laptop and the other watching the toddler run around with a colander on her head.
