Just because I don’t like sharing cake doesn’t mean I don’t love you.

Today is a day to celebrate.  And a day of cake!

My birthday and our wedding anniversary.

2 years ago today Rich and I got married.  We’ve been together 2 and a half years.

Yes, we married quickly! Engaged after 6 weeks (I asked him) and then married 6 months later. On my birthday.

Which was great but I hadn’t thought through that would mean that I would have to share my birthday cake every year and call it an anniverday cake!

This year I have rebelled and baked a birthday cake for me.  It’s a girly, yet sophisticated number with all credit going to Katie from Feeding Boys and a Firefighter and I’m sure Rich will be happy with a packet of chocolate digestives. Ahem.

In all seriousness though…

Rich, thank you for being you.  I may moan about you sometimes but I couldn’t be without you.  You support me in so many ways and I’m so proud of how hard you work for our family.  You’re a wonderful husband and an amazing Daddy.  Happy Anniversary sweetheart.

All my love, always

Now. I’m off to eat cake!

I'm Sian, mother to a three year old who thinks she’s a teenager and a husband who has issues with cows. Both have insatiable appetites and are rather fond of cake. And chocolate. And cheese. I seem to spend most of my time in the kitchen, with one eye on the laptop and the other watching the toddler run around with a colander on her head.
