Then, Now and One Day.

Then

There was time for long, lazy lay-ins with breakfast in bed.

We could watch a film without one of us falling asleep.

There were sweet nothings whispered in the dark.

There was romance and flowers.

There was time to play.

We would wake up in bed together.

We didn’t snap and argue with tiredness.

It was just us.

Now

We are three.

We have made something that is just ours.

We have a completely different type of fun.

There are snatched kisses and more I Love You’s.

There is a stronger, unbreakable bond.

I look into your eyes through the tired haze and still see the man I love.

You are still my heart, my world.

One Day

It will be just us again and we will miss this.

About Sian Reynolds

I'm Sian, mother to a three year old who thinks she’s a teenager and a husband who has issues with cows. Both have insatiable appetites and are rather fond of cake. And chocolate. And cheese. Freelance this and that, coffee drinker, food blogger. I seem to spend most of my time in the kitchen, with one eye on the laptop and the other watching the toddler run around with a colander on her head.
